Decision Tree Specialist- Ambulatory Access Operations- Days

As a part of the Ambulatory Access Operations team, the Decision Tree Specialist consults with internal stakeholders to identify needs of the clinical enterprise and drafts recommended decision tree solutions to meet those needs. Prepares and maintains all work product to facilitate decision tree build and on-going maintenance. Assignments are focused on medium sized projects, performing workflow analysis, design, documentation and testing after decision tree build is complete.

Essential Job Statements

Conducts scheduling workflow analysis to develop an understanding of current state.

Partners with access leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of current state in meeting ambulatory access objectives.

Operates proactively to identify and mitigate issues related to projects within portfolio, provides solutions oriented escalation as needed.

Develops, modifies, and maintains decision tree design to meet ambulatory access objectives. Maintains all documentation related to the design, configuration, and business approvals.

Maintains a high standard for quality in all aspects of work.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors Preferred.

Experience Required:Two (2) plus years of EPIC Cadence design, build, and implementation experience, including decision tree design, and testing experience. Provider Template Optimization, Visit Type, department and provider build experience preferred

Project management experience required. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Certification

Required- EPIC Cadence

Preferred: Decision Tree Badge

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Direct experience with leading design and maintenance of decision trees and provider templates. Direct experience in developing improvement efforts to improve ambulatory access. Skilled at active listening and identification of customer and organizational needs. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively at all levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple, competing, priorities within the organization. Strong analytic and decision making abilities. Exceptional communication skills, written, verbal , and listening. Proven track record of maintaining the highest standards of performance, quality, credibility and integrity.
