TD INSTRUCTOR II
This position supports the activities of Talent Development at Comerica, including but not limited to, facilitation and delivery of development programs, developing and maintaining business partner
relationships, evaluation of learners and the effectiveness of learning programs, maintenance of learning program materials. Colleagues in this position typically facilitate and maintain call center, corporate staff, risk, operations, revenue, technology and underwriting training programs.
Position Responsibilities:
Facilitation/Delivery of Learning Programs -- Facilitates instruction that allows the
audience to increase their knowledge of a specific subject.


  • Adheres to facilitation standards and design plan.
  • Applies adult learning principles to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Applies facilitation techniques to create an engaging learning experience.
  • Applies techniques that address colleagues' variations in preferences and
    cognition.
  • Assesses the learning environment to ensure it is a safe and comfortable space to
    learn.
  • Constructs an environment that supports learning.
  • Facilitates Canvas instruction as requested.
  • Facilitates 360-degree debrief sessions.
  • Improves content.
  • Is aware of personal facilitation style and how it affects others.
  • Manages express classes.
  • Prepares colleagues and managers to engage effectively in events.
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates the supplies, materials, and environment for instruction.
  • Produces Knowledge Hours and other virtual events.
  • Presents professionally in a variety of learning environments.
  • Utilizes effective facilitation techniques to create a positive learning
    environment.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of the subject matter and achieves/maintains
    instructor certifications.
  • Collaborates with learners and their managers to ensure needs are understood
    and met.


Creates and recommends action plans for remediation on a case-by-case basis.
Evaluations - Conduct evaluations to determine effectiveness of programs and uses
evaluation data to:


  • Suggest improvements to materials.
  • Provide additional support to learners as needed.


Maintaining Learning Materials


  • Make revisions to materials as necessary, based on changes to
    process/procedure, technology systems, learner feedback, evaluation results, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in the field of Education, Communication, Human Resources, or Business
  • 4 years of experience in a training, teaching or mentoring/coaching position
  • Experience in virtual instruction preferred
  • Technical training instruction preferred


Licenses & Certifications:


  • Teaching Certificate preferred
  • ATD Facilitation Certificate preferred
  • Instructor Certification(s) (e.g.
    Emotional Intelligence, Lominger,
    Leadership Challenge, Influencer,
    MBTI, etc.) preferred

Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. This position offers a hybrid work model that includes onsite and remote days as determined by the manager. Salary: To Be Determined Based on Individual Experience
