The Cognizant Workday Practice is seeking an experienced Workday Adaptive Planning Functional Architect to join our post-production Continuous Value Services (CVS) team. This role involves providing expert guidance and delivery for all aspects of Adaptive Planning. As the billable functional leader, you will oversee Adaptive Planning optimizations, implementations, and other projects. You will act as a senior Adaptive Planning product expert, collaborating closely with engagement managers, managers, functional area leads, and senior client resources. Your strategic guidance and leadership will ensure comprehensive solutions that meet client requirements and allow for future enhancements with minimal rework. This position requires proven experience in Adaptive Planning implementations and optimizations, strong leadership and strategic planning skills, and excellent collaboration and communication abilities. - Provide functional leadership on multiple, concurrent Adaptive Planning optimizations, scoping and demos, break fixes, assessments, implementations, and other small projects.
- Oversee all functional areas (for example, integrations, reporting, and modeling) on assigned projects, ensuring efficient and accurate design and configuration of the delivered solution.
- Guide the customer through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the customer's unique business requirements for enhancements to Adaptive Planning.
- Leverage your expertise to recommend the best solution based on the client's requirements, budget, and time frame; with the flexibility to adapt the scope as additional needs are identified.
- Partner with Engagement Manager and Portfolio Director.
- Act as a sounding board and provide ad-hoc advice for the Engagement Manager and Leads.
- Serve as an advocate and escalation point for the Engagement Manager and functional team and ensure issues are being addressed.
- Ensure that issues and risks are being discussed openly with the appropriate people.
- Partner with Sales.
- Assisting Solution Architects with estimating projects.
- Participating in Sales Orals meetings for proposed assignments.
- Assisting with or reviewing estimates for Change Orders in functional areas.
- Drive team and individuals to achieve high client satisfaction levels.
- Help team to understand and adhere to Cynergy methodology and provide feedback to appropriate parties internally to support continuous enhancement of our tools and process.
- Attend regular Adaptive Planning KSS calls.
- Mentor junior project resources by providing guidance allowing them to learn new skills and functional areas, lead client sessions, and configure the solution.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Adaptive Planning Platform Certification required; Adaptive Planning Integrations Platform Certification and/or Workday Reporting Certification preferred.
- Experience configuring Workday Adaptive Planning Foundational Elements and Sheets.
- Experience with Adaptive Modeling and Formula Building.
- Detailed understanding of Adaptive Planning processes and best practices.
- Experience delivering training materials and sessions to promote end-user adoption.
- Experience with Adaptive Integrations and Workday Power of One.
- Adaptive Reporting Experience (Dashboards, Matrix, OfficeConnect)
- Understands cross functional impacts with Workday.
- Experience gathering requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, and deploying solutions to meet client requirements.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage client expectations.
- Have led 5 full lifecycle Adaptive Planning Implementations.
- Proven track-record of client success with an ability to plan, monitor and report project plans with experience managing budget, scope, and timelines.
- Ability to create and sustain a relationship with clients, inspiring confidence in themselves and the delivery team, while driving to reference-ability.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site, if needed.
