The Room Service Call Center Rep obtains orders from patients and families via telephone in an efficient and timely manner; making sure accuracy and diet compliances are followed, conducts report processing as directed.

Responsibilities

    Obtains meal orders from patients and families via the telephone and faxed requests.
  • Enters meal orders into the system established for menu processing.
  • Verifies meal orders meet diet order parameters.
  • Process credit card charges following confidential and privacy guidelines.
  • Coordinates call center processes with production and tray assembly areas.
  • Acts as a liaison between Nutrition Services, the patient, family and nursing units.
  • Demonstrates computer literacy.
  • Creates service culture.
  • Presents a professional appearance in the uniform prescribed by the department at all times.


Qualifications

Education Requirement: High School Graduate or equivalent

Skills:

  • Ability to use computer efficiently
  • Ability to communicate to others in a clear concise manner
  • Ability to use headset on phone, while placing order in computer
  • Customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of credit card processing.

Experience: 3 months food service experience
