Job Summary
The Application Developer II will have a passion for developing and maintaining corporate applications and websites along with a capability to influence and recommend selection of effective solutions which support business strategies. This role is essential toward maturing CareOregon's web and business application model. The successful candidate will spend substantial time evaluating, architecting, and implementing IS policies and systems (plan, design, install, and maintain).
Essential Responsibilities
Application and Web Design
- Actively participate in the design of internal and external business applications and websites.
- Provide advanced application and web knowledge to the organization; participate and consult on projects.
- Advise other IS teams on best practices of application and web design.
Application and Web Development
- Develop websites and applications for moderate to advanced activities.
- Develop moderate to advanced databases to meet application and web needs.
- Analyze business needs; research and recommend solutions which include potential risks and mitigation.
- Develop and maintain appropriate technology documentation, including current design and operation.
Standards and Policy Administration
- Propose requirements, standards, and best practices for application and web development.
- Participate in the ongoing review of existing systems to ensure they are designed to comply with established standards and to empower business operations.
Vendor Coordination and Relations
- Conduct product and vendor research, and present recommendations to lead developer and/or management.
- Establish and maintain effective relations with vendors and related equipment suppliers, including installation and repair of services.

Experience and/or Education
Required
- Minimum 3 years of application/web development required. Experience should include some or all the following:
- Application development and maintenance
- Web development and maintenance
- Database development and maintenance
- Systems analysis and design
- Agile/Scrum methodology
- Sharepoint administration
Preferred
- Experience with Programmatically populating SharePoint data using API's.
- Experience with Angular2 or similar front-end framework.
- Azure DevOps experience
- SQL and/or SQL Azure experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Additional experience in related technology support and/or operational positions

- MVC framework
