Join Our Mission The Custodial Coordinator performs responsible supervisory and administrative work in directing custodial services and supervising the activities of custodial staff, both directly and indirectly, ensuring that custodial services meet the guidelines established by the VP of Facilities. The Custodial coordinator is responsible for overseeing all custodial tasks in the cleaning and care of agency buildings and grounds. Job Responsibilities * Accountable for cleaning and maintaining buildings/facilities of assigned area, adjacent grounds and sidewalks (i.e. mopping, washing, dusting, polishing, cleaning, moving furniture etc.) using a variety of cleaning substances, products and equipment). * Develops an effective staff by hiring qualified applicants, training employees to standards, supervising the performance of departmental tasks, evaluating employee performance, and directing corrective measures to be taken when necessary. * Oversees staff including assisting with training and performance evaluations, makes recommendations for hiring/firing, creates schedules and ensures staffing requirements are met. * Ensures that custodial team have the equipment and supplies necessary to perform custodial services and that contract services are available as needed and provided as specified by communicating and coordinating with the VP of Facilities, who oversees the purchasing process and contracted services. Responsible for ordering and replenishing supplies. * Assist with the cleaning, repair, removal and moving of furniture from or within various locations. * Responsible for removal of snow from public areas, including sidewalks, parking lots and entryways.
