POSITION SUMMARY* The Steamboat Grand Hotel is seeking a Year Round Assistant Manager to join our Food and Beverage team! Do you have two years of experience leading the way in a restaurant setting? ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Assist department manager with supervision of front of house staff Be accountable for labor and cost of goods. Assist with monthly inventory Assist employees with overall food preparation and customer service Provide on the job training Assist with management of daily operations Perform scheduling duties and guest relations Oversee building safety issues, ie: Food safety program, snow clearing, hazmat, repairs and maintenance Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements Other duties, as assigned Positions on mountain required ability to ride or ski to work. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED Two years restaurant experience in a supervisory role, preferred Must possess good organizational, interpersonal problem-solving leadership and team building skills Adhere to all safety policies Must have a valid driver's license Problem solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers. Be a consistent role model for company's Service Excellence standards The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives.
