Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the production of 92NY events. From the initial determination of technical requirements and scheduling of rehearsals to the oversight of the event, the Production Manager is responsible to confirm all required logistics are in place to ensure the successful realization of the event and a positive experience for the artists.



Job Responsibilities Include

    Provide administrative support to the Associate Director of Theater Operations.
  • Work with artists and artists' managers to determine technical needs for each event.
  • Liaise between performing artists, production crew and house staff and generate production materials for all 92NY events.
  • Schedule rehearsals in both concert halls, as well as practice rooms, classrooms and off-site rehearsal studios and function as point person when needed.
  • Arrange and coordinate services including rental of pianos and other instruments, audio equipment, lighting equipment, piano tunings, sound engineering, etc with various vendors.
  • Work with building security to reduce overflow in lobby for highly attended events.
  • Proactively collaborate with Facilities staff to prevent building noise during events.
  • Responsible for all administrative duties relating to the staging of events.
  • Collaborate with Centers in the creation of budget and assist with negotiating production costs with vendors to remain within budget.
  • Support Spaceadmin colleagues to assist with season upload of programs in classrooms and other 92NY spaces.
  • Assist with rental event logistics.
  • Coordinate food arrangements for productions as required.
  • Serve as main point of contact, when needed.
  • Other duties as requested.


Experience, Education, & Skills Desired

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3+ years of successful event production.
  • Proven ability in meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills as well as superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to read music.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization and diplomatic skills.
  • Flexibility, inventiveness and ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote.


Work Environment & Requirements

40 hours per week with two consecutive days off.

Compensation Range

$55,000 - $65,000

The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
