Corporate Tax Strategy Manager - US Remote

You Are:

You are a seasoned tax professional with a strong background in M&A tax planning and integration. You possess critical thinking skills and have a knack for recognizing and evaluating tax issues. Your ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders sets you apart. You are passionate about fostering growth within your team and have excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a "yes, if" mindset. You are adept at managing and executing multiple projects simultaneously and are proficient in creating compelling PowerPoint presentations. With over five years of experience in public accounting and/or multinational corporations, you have either a J.D. or CPA, and a Masters in Tax is a plus.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Work directly with senior team members and outside advisors to develop acquisition and integration step plans, Excel modeling of tax rate and cash tax impact and project manage planning execution/implementation.
  • Work directly with senior team members with respect to US and international tax planning, with a near-term focus on Pillar 2 and TCJA planning. Develop step plans and oversee implementation of such planning.
  • Work with the tax provision and compliance team to ensure proper compliance reporting of business transactions.
  • Support and advise on routine legal entity rationalization process.
  • Collaborate with cross-function and global teams to communicate tax impact of business operations
  • Identify and support the implementation of process improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with evolving tax legislation, mitigating potential risks.
  • Support legal entity rationalization, optimizing the corporate structure.
  • Implement process improvements, increasing operational efficiency.

What You'll Need:

  • Strong Sub C skills and strong understanding of US International tax law with a focus on FDII, Subpart F, Foreign Tax Credits, GILTI, Pillar 2 and understanding of foreign law with a focus on withholding tax, transfer pricing and permanent establishment issues.
  • Focused experience in US international tax planning and post-acquisition integration planning.
  • Critical thinking skills with experience recognizing and evaluating tax issues and connecting to broader accounting, and cashflow implications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Interest in expanding skillset beyond tax-only to broader finance planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating collaborative action orientated mindset
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Expertise with Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentation.

You will determine methods and procedures for new assignments, and your work impacts operational, functional, or business targets within the department.

The Team You'll Be A Part Of:

You will be part of Synopsys' Corporate Tax team, reporting to the Senior Tax Director. The team collaborates with various departments including accounting, legal, operations, finance, and treasury, as well as outside advisors. Together, you will drive tax planning and M&A activities, ensuring compliance and optimizing the company's tax strategy.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $115,000-$172,000 annually. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
