You Are:

An accomplished and highly skilled Product Security Engineer with a robust understanding of enterprise security best practices and requirements. You have a proven track record in designing and implementing security architectures, programs, and processes. You are passionate about security and are always on the lookout for the latest industry trends and solutions to solve complex security problems. Your ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and regulatory representatives is second to none. You possess strong communication, project management, and influencing skills, and you are adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously. You have a knack for critical and "outside the box" thinking, and your problem-solving and analytical skills are highly developed. You thrive in both independent and collaborative work environments and are committed to coaching and mentoring others in product security topics and activities.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Leading the product security processes for Synopsys.
  • Implementing Product Security policies across the organization and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Guiding new product development activities to incorporate Security and Privacy requirements to protect customers and Synopsys.
  • Consulting with new product development teams to implement state-of-the-art Security Engineering & Architecture requirements.
  • Ensuring Product Security support for products pre- and post-market.
  • Working closely with customers, sales/marketing/field personnel, and cross-functional teams to address product security issues.
  • Leading Product Security initiatives or projects and providing expertise across multiple functional areas.
  • Interpreting KPI trends and driving continuous improvement processes.
  • Engaging in and potentially leading internal and external audits with regulatory representatives.
  • Defining and providing training on Product Security requirements.
  • Managing audit logistics and preparation.
  • Initiating, containing internally, and supporting ship and product holds for potential product escapes.
  • Coaching and mentoring others in Product Security topics and activities.

  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of security processes and practices.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in product security, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field with applicable product security work experience.
  • 6+ years of related work experience in a product security organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Product Security Concepts (e.g., Data Security and Privacy, Security Engineering and Architecture, Security Assurance).
  • Understanding of US and International Product Security Regulations and Standards.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC preferred.

  • Experience with BISO or Security Champion programs is a nice-to-have.
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks & regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA-HITECH, Sarbanes-Oxley, GDPR, ISO 27001/2, NIST CSF/800.53, FedRamp, StateRamp, IEC 62443.

The Synopsys Information Enterprise Security Engineering team is dedicated to helping the organization transform and securely build what's next for the business. The team focuses on security design, engineering, automation, security research & development, and the operationalization of security solutions. As a key member of this team, you will guide and define overarching technical security engineering to ensure Synopsys solutions are designed and implemented to the highest security standards.
