Operations Research Analyst, Junior

The Opportunity:

As an Operations Analyst, you're passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing and developing recommendations for a creative solution. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team of analysts and data scientists, you'll apply analytic techniques such as optimization, simulation, machine learning, statistical analysis, and multi-objective decision analysis, to deliver solutions and inform senior Department of Defense (DoD) leadership decisions.

You won't go at it alone, you'll work alongside our team of experienced data scientists and operations research analysts to conduct research, collaborate with stakeholders, develop solutions, and prepare visualizations to help develop cutting edge capabilities and address pressing issues for the DoD. Use your operations research knowledge to develop technologies and concepts that help transform and advance the DoD's missions.

You Have:

  • Experience conducting data analysis on complex sets of quantitative data
  • Experience with object-oriented programing languages such as Python, R, or Java
  • Ability to analyze large, complex data sets and develop analytics to support a variety of client problems
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and diverse environment
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, CS, Industrial Engineering, or Data Science

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $106,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
