Description

Review production schedule daily distributed by Production Supervisor to determine which orders are needed. Direct expander attendants, selector packers and sets-up and operates oven and related equipment to specification to run a quality product. Performs preventative maintenance and make minor repairs on oven related equipment. Verify the proper materials (based on the Bill of Materials List located on the Production Order) are readily available. Communicate to the Material Handler or Production Supervisor the appropriate material to supply the line. Any modification made to the Bill of the Materials on the Production Order will be changed by the Machine Operator before the production is claimed. The machine operator must identify the appropriate media to be run as per the Media Production Order. The Machine Operator directs and conducts changeovers to set up the production line based on the Production Schedule. Print labels for each Production Order and attach them to the appropriate cartons. Verify the quantity and quality of media ran and ensures the proper labeling of cartons. Scan the production order as well as the media production order into SAP and moves the entire order into the appropriate staging area. Attach the Media Production Order to the Production Orders and places the completed order into the appropriate filing system. Train new employees and temporaries on specific job instructions and ensure they understand and adhere to the company policies and procedures in the assigned area. Direct and assist line workforce to clean area as per 5S. Understand all positions within their production area to assist when there are absences or open positions in any assigned area. Record daily production on PDS boards. Reports scrap data on the daily report. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED; Minimum 1 years manufacturing experience ;
Basic computer knowledge; Read tape measure; Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment such as pleater section; conveyor, board, stock and glue section. Ability to write and keep records of production information and correspondence. Computer skills - Basic data entry

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated Technical Competencies to include:

* Must be able to read, speak, write and understand written and verbal instructions in English to include completion of daily paperwork and forms along with basic math skills.

Demonstrated Professional Competencies to include:

* Ability to schedule production needs with other responsibilities.

* Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

* Mechanical ability to make adjustments and trouble shoot mechanical problems or areas of concern.

* Ability to learn new process and procedures and be promoted to the next level.

* Ability to communicate effectively.
