Job DescriptionThe Maintenance technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and performing preventive maintenance relative to the mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems and physical structural elements of the property, including grounds, exterior, interior of building, roof maintenance, and fire prevention. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Hours: 2nd shift 12 PM - 10 PM or 2 PM - 10 PM QualificationsAssociate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and three to five years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Candidate should have the ability to work independently; Understand preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, routine inspections and capital expenditures; Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with local, state and federal regulations; Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures and execute emergency protocol as outlined in the Safety Manual; Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization; Abilityto diagnose problems and make appropriate level decisions; Knowledge of basic electrical systems; Knowledgeof safety rules, hazards and application of accident prevention measures; Basic knowledge of fire protection hydraulic system and fire protection alarm systems; Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
