Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for an EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST to join our fabulous team. This role is PART TIME, M-F, 20 hours a week

Cardiac, Pulmonary and SET-PAD Rehab Programs.

Exercise Physiologist Job Responsibilities:


  • Develops exercise prescription and risk factor modification by incorporating comorbidities and musculoskeletal disorders, per established program (ACCVPR, ACSM, ATS, ACC, NASM) standards and guidelines, as evidenced by random chart review.
  • Reviews and develops Individual Treatment Plans.
  • Develops exercise and strength training programs, patient education, and behavioral health support specific to each patient to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Demonstrates proper instruction and technique for performing appropriate exercise and strength training as needed to ensure patient safety and adherence to exercise prescription, as evidenced by direct observation.
  • Immediately reports significant changes in patient clinical status to appropriate members of the healthcare team and assists with emergency care according to department policy, as evidenced by direct observation.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology.

BLS within 6 months of start date. Must be from the AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION.

American College of Sports Medicine - Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP) required upon start for Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab Programs due at 12 at months

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within 6 months of hire.
