Position Overview
Essential Job Duties |
The Kinga Unocic Research Group in the Department of Materials Science and
Engineering at North Carolina State University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research
Scholar to start December 2024. The Postdoc Research Scholars' primary duties will
include performing high-temperature oxidation testing, characterization of oxidation
coupons, and assisting with the lab setup.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the lab setup
- Perform high-temperature oxidation testing and monitor sample testing
- Perform post-characterization
- Maintain the lab operations
- Develop and implement MATLAB/Python scripts for data analysis and automation

Other Work/Responsibilities |
- Assist with grant writing, bibliographic research and preparation of figures
- Assist with reporting activities, including collecting and collating results for reports

- Computer word processing, spreadsheet, mapping and other computer-related

- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
