**This position will oversee, plan and direct all technical functions related to facilities maintenance including repair of buildings and equipment, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, lighting, network, and phone cabling systems, occasionally performing similar duties to meet offsite job and project requirements. There is paid travel to construction sites for site installs**
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Monitor building environment to assure proper heating, air conditioning, humidity, and ventilation balance through the use of automated and manual control systems.
- Plan, direct and perform all functions related to the maintenance, repair and new installations of all heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, lighting, network, and phone cabling systems.
- Communicate facility related issues that arise from daily operations to supervisor and coordinate with internal staff and outside vendors to address issues in a timely manner.
- Complete miscellaneous facility projects including furniture/employee moves, mounting and hanging fixtures, remodeling and other facility improvements.
- React to loss of electrical power and other utility outages and assist in restoration efforts.
- Monitor and respond to facility system alarms following proper procedures.
- Make recommendations for the fabrication, purchase, or subcontracting of mechanical equipment, systems and supplies.
- Establish, maintain, and oversee a scheduled maintenance program for applicable equipment. Maintain records and logs of plans, equipment, and repairs accordingly.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Analytical thinker who logically breaks down problems and looks for solutions.
- Flexible to change, and able to multitask and shift direction based on changing needs and deadlines.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- 4+ years of experience working in a building maintenance, construction, or mechanical repair setting.
- 4+ years of experience operating hand tools, small power tools, multi-meters and various test equipment.
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, compressed air, and other related facility systems.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, procedure manuals and blueprints.
- Proficient computer skills to include internet navigation, email use, and Microsoft Office use.
- Associates degree in electrical, mechanical, or related field; or high school diploma or GED combined with relevant work experience; or other applicable professional certifications.

- Lift 70 lbs. floor to waist; lift 90 lbs. waist to chest; lift 25 lbs. chest to overhead; carry 50 lbs. over a distance of 50 ft.; push a 100 lbs. wheeled cart over a distance of 100 ft.; and drag 50 lbs. over a distance of 100 ft.
Work Environment
- Exposed to typical noises and smells associated with the production environment, such as exposure to fumes or airborne particles and production machinery. Noise level is moderate to loud.
