Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Manage forensic accounting engagements
  • Conduct fraud investigations
  • Prepare and review written reports
  • Evaluate internal control structures and data to help identify weaknesses and associated risks and make recommendations on how to mitigate those risks and evaluate the general risk faced by clients
  • Analyze accounting procedures and controls for possible exposure to fraudulent financial reporting
  • Summarize, analyze and prepare reports in clear, logical and concise manner
  • Interact with and interview clients and other external sources to obtain relevant information and documents
  • Help develop and manage staff
  • Engages in client expansion and cross-serving with meaningful fees sold goal; recognizes importance of lead generation
  • Review and lead proposals and engagement letter development
  • Builds a relationship with client decision-makers where ideas and new service offerings can be discussed
  • Begins to develops personal relationships with third parties associated with the client (e.g., banker, attorney, vendor, etc.) to facilitate referrals
  • Analyzes budgets/time summaries for planning and billing purposes; leads billing activities; responsible for realization goals
  • Responsible for practice economics including production, realization, billing and collection
  • Anticipating and addressing client concerns and escalating problems as they arise
  • Actively manages a portfolio of decision makers in ways that create referrals and references.

The qualifications.
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • CPA Designation is required
  • Credentials of CFE, CFF, CIA, and/or CMA are preferred but not required
  • 8+ years of recent experience in forensic consulting in a public accounting firm or technical consulting firm
  • Experience managing engagement teams and relevant skills in project execution with hands on experience in the full life cycle of a project
  • Business experience working with clients and managing multiple projects
  • Proficiency working with Alteryx, Tableau, or similar software preferred
  • Proven practice development sales experience
  • Ability to travel overnight or internationally may be required
  • Previous expert testimony experiences preferred

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) Information

Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with the CO Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.

Colorado monthly base range is as follows:

$11,416.67 to $15,416.67
We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a balance fund, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
