Application open to returning staff only JOB TITLE / DEPARTMENT: Ticket Checking Supervisor / Lift Operations POSITION TYPE: Seasonal WAGE RANGE : 1 8 .00 - 1 9 .00 Per Hour DOE SUPERVISORY: Yes SUPERVISED BY: Lift Operations Supervisor & Manager POSITION SUMMARY: Position monitors validity of day ticket s and season passes. Limits fraudulent acts through monitoring tablets . Supervis es and provides breaks for all ticket checkers. Essentially w orks as a village ambassador for the Lift Services department . ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ensures ticket checking crew verifies every ticket or season pass using a radio scanner. Maintains proper functioning of scanners in coordination with System Administrator. May cross train with oth er elements of the Lift Operations Department. Provides breaks for ticket checkers and occasionally lift operators in village areas . Supervises up to 10 crew members but functions as an assistant supervisor to the lift management staff . Maintains graphs and keeps records of scanning accuracy throughout the season in coordination with the Resort Services Director. Functions as an information source for all resort guests. Works closely with Schweitzer Security department to handle individuals using fraudulent passes. PHYSICAL DEMANDS : This is a combined sitting and standing/walking position for up to 8 hours each . May lift up to 100 lbs. rarely; will boost children onto lift and shovel snow; aid is available for heavy lifting . Workers will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level on a rare to occasional basis . Will use hands for grasping and pushing/pulling at a 25 lb. to 30 lb. rate . Worksites can be up to 100% outside . Exposed to all temperatures and all moisture ranges . Hazards are mechanical, electrical, burns, and ice/snow . Uniforms are supplied . Sensory skills of vision, hearing, touch and speech are needed. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must have or be willing to obtain extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain facilities, activities and events . Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and the position is not necessarily limited to these items. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Pleasant guest interaction skills. Basic computer skills required . EDUCATION: English writing and communication, basic math. EXPERIENCE: 1 year winter resort experience. Prefer prior supervisory experience. Lift e xperience a plus but not requ ired . LICENSE NEEDED: None . MACHINES OR TOOLS OPERATED: Computer, radio scanner, snowmobile, shovels, drills, Pulaski , brooms, rakes, snow blower, chairlifts. JUDGEMENT / MENTAL COMPLEXITY: M oderate REVIEW SCHEDULE: This position and the person filling it will be evaluated once per season.
