The Role

We are seeking a Junior AI/Data Engineering Associate who is ready to take the next step in their career. If you have some hands-on experience in AI, data engineering, or related fields and are hungry to dive deeper, this role is for you. You will be part of a dynamic environment where you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, try new things, and innovate. We value curiosity, a willingness to learn, and the ability to operate independently with minimal guidance.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and maintain AI and data engineering solutions.
• Assist in data pipeline construction, data modeling, and optimization tasks.
• Experiment with new tools, techniques, and approaches to solve complex problems.
• Analyze and preprocess data to support AI models and other data-driven projects.
• Work closely with senior team members to understand project requirements and deliver on key objectives.
• Contribute to the documentation of processes and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Hybrid role, based on GT campus and at Avanos Corporate office

Your Qualifications

Required

• Educational Background:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. A strong foundation in programming and data structures is essential.
• Experience:1-2 years of hands-on experience in AI, data engineering, or a related field.
• Skills:Basic understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and machine learning concepts. Familiarity with programming languages (Python preferred), and a willingness to learn new technologies. Exposure to Python, Spark SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Mindset:You should be eager to learn and grow, with a strong desire to deepen your expertise in AI and data engineering. We're looking for someone who is not afraid to try new things and thrives in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
• Independence:Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a strong team player.
