Job Responsibilities:



  • System-Level Development: Design and implement system-level software for Windows platforms, including drivers, services, and low-level APIs.
  • Application Development: Develop and maintain Windows applications that interact with system components, providing robust and efficient user experiences.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize software to ensure it meets performance requirements and efficiently utilizes system resources.
  • Security Implementation: Implement and enforce security best practices in system software, addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Integration: Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration between software and hardware components.
  • Testing and Debugging: Develop comprehensive test plans, perform rigorous testing, and troubleshoot issues to ensure software reliability and stability.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, code comments, and user guides.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-quality software on time.


Job Requirements:



  • Education:

    • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in Windows system or application development.
    • Strong understanding of Windows internals, including kernel, driver development, and system services.
    • Experience with low-level programming and debugging tools.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and C#.
    • Experience with Windows development tools, including Visual Studio, WinDbg, and other related tools.
    • Knowledge of Windows APIs, COM, and .NET Framework.
    • Familiarity with security practices and tools, including encryption, authentication, and secure coding standards.



The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$215,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company's discretion.
