As a Production Supervisor supporting Manufacturing Plant Management, you will be trusted to work on leading various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) at Sinking Spring, PA.
In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Supervise production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards
  • Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources
  • Plan, prioritize, and lead production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions
  • Direct, assign and schedule work to meet required production levels.
  • React appropriately to unplanned interruptions to the process.
  • Encourage communications with associates to respond to personnel issues and concerns.
  • Evaluate and make decisions regarding acceptable process conditions as they affect operations and/or product quality with the constraint of the detailed process parameters.
  • Recommend changes to equipment and/or operations to promote a climate of continuous improvement within the facility.
  • Assure that operations are performed in compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements (regulatory, employment laws, environmental, and, safety)
  • Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate products for potential implementation into the process.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvements, knowledge and experience in project management, engineering and industrial engineering methods.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+16yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 1 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
  • Hours: 3rd Shift - 10pm - 6am
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal, between sites
  • Relocation Assistance: No

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus
