Minimal Qualifications Must have at least three (3) years of experience working in a security role. Must clear Caregiver and Background checks, physical exam, and drug screen prior to hire. Must have valid driver's license, automobile, and insurance sufficient to meet agency requirements Performance Expectations: Expectations are to maintain a neat, professional appearance, and to interact with participants, staff and members of the public in a professional manner that positively represents WCS. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be knowledgeable in assessing and intervening in situations that present risks, and compromise safety and security. Must be proficient in the use of computers and basic software (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.). Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness. Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, co-workers, and other staff is a must. Ability to always exercise and use good judgement. Ability to communicate effectively and in a positive manner with staff and participants. Ability to respond appropriately in a crisis situation. Sensitivity toward cultural, ethnic, and disability issues. Ability to learn evidence based best practices and apply those skills learned.
