Corewell Health West is seeking a Full Time BC/BE Internal Medicine physician to join their Northern Regional Hospitalist team. This position will float between Gerber Hospital, Big Rapids Hospital, and Ludington Hospital. You will enjoy working a true seven on-seven off schedule, Tuesday through Monday: all day shifts; and all shifts for that week on at one location. Procedures preferred but not required, vent management is required. Great virtual support from Grand Rapids Intensivist. Essential Functions Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others. Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times. Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care. Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients. Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources. Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards. Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate. Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.
