How you'll make an impact:

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Associate Director to help us drive our organization to the next level. As an Associate Director of a DevSecOps Team, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for building and operating components that constitute our customer management and service delivery platform in AWS. This position will play a pivotal role in defining the key designs of new services and ensuring the seamless integration of security practices into our development and operational processes.

What you'll do:

  • Lead a team of 10+ engineers, utilizing best practices in agile software development, test automation and quality assurance, CICD processes, and Operational discipline

  • Establish and implement the overall DevSecOps strategy and roadmap, aligning it with business objectives

  • Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices throughout the organization, promoting a shift-left approach to security

  • Work closely with your peers, Product Managers, and Product Owners to develop strategic vision for your components and deliver on software roadmaps

  • Provide leadership, activity planning and direction to complete team tasks, produce the required deliverables, track/resolve issues and meet project milestones

  • Lead architecture, design, code, and implementation review sessions with team

  • Monitor and analyze Production incidents (security, performance, outage) and implement incident response and recovery plans

  • Grow and cultivate a culture of accountability, security awareness, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and code reviews to identify and mitigate potential security risks

  • Grow and mentor engineers on the team

What you'll need:

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technically related field (Equivalent experience and/or degrees in other technical fields will be evaluated and considered)

  • 8+ years of experience as a software developer with experience in multiple development languages and platforms delivering multiple commercially deployed products to market

  • 5+ years of cumulative software development leadership at a manager/senior manager level

  • Mentoring skills and competencies, with an ability to transfer knowledge to junior and senior members of the team

  • Proven ability to organize and manage priorities across multiple stakeholders while ensuring a sustainable pace of work

  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technology solutions

  • Proven ability to lead and work within geographically distributed engineering teams

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; acts with professionalism both in person and when working on the phone with partners

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, containerization technologies, and orchestration platforms, and cloud development and deployment best practices (specifically on AWS is a plus)

  • Strong technical knowledge of Java, Javascript, Node.js, Angular, Bootstrap, Python and related technologies

  • Technical understanding of working within a Git/Gitflow-based multi-branched software environment

  • A deep agile toolbox including awareness of various agile techniques

  • Proficient computer skills, experience with the Atlassian Development Suite (Confluence, Jira, BitBucket), Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S
