We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager focused on data center land development projects in Brown and Caldwell's Private Sector Business Unit (PSBU). Detailed Description:

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) position is charged with leading the growth and development of the PSBU through the application of knowledge and expertise in the field of land development, engineering, construction, client services and project management. The SPM will also achieve the firm's prominence through application of best technical, project management and client services practices and through the strategic vision, persuasive leadership, coordination with multiple groups within BC and application of necessary directive efforts. The SPM is an engaged and action-oriented position who will make decisions based on significant expertise and experience in the subject matter, instinct, and in coordination with PSBU leadership.

Job Expectations:



  • Manage thepermitting and approvals processfor a portfolio of client projects to enable new datacenter development and construction throughout
  • Conductcomprehensiveassessments during due diligence and throughout design and construction to identify permit requirements and associated risks.
  • Coordinate with key client counterpartsincluding land development,design, construction,operations and environmental teamleaderstodevelopcomprehensiveand integrated permitting and project deliverystrategies.
  • Communicate key risks, mitigations, and policies to project stakeholders.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify innovative solutionsto resolve delays to construction or other activities due to permitting delays.
  • Identify permitting agency engagement strategy and representclients in key meetings with applicable Authorities with Jurisdiction (AHJ), regulatory agencies, external stakeholders,and the public tofacilitatedatacenter development.
  • Support and then own key strategic relationships with AHJs, regulatory agencies, government officials and other key external stakeholders and act as a single point of contact for all discussions around permitting, planning approvals, and pre-construction delivery.
  • Supportthe development of tools and processes to continuously improve the delivery of permits, approvals and entitlements fordatacenter development.
  • Educate the project team on permitting requirements to ensure timely approvals and compliance.
  • Manage permit approval conditions to ensure compliance.
  • Key Metrics will include permitting and delivery timeline predictability.
  • Accountable for the performance and results of Project Management of land development projects for data centers and tech industry clients
  • Active business and risk manager capable of successfully planning and executing projects as PM in the data center space.
  • Establish industry leadership for BC services in data center and tech industry markets
  • Provide leadership, direction, coaching to project team members.
  • Make decisions guided by organizational and functional strategies and objectives.
  • Deliver the BC experience to employees by providing guidance and coaching staff and ensuring timely/meaningful feedback is given to support career development and progression.
  • Deliver the BC experience to clients by acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Demonstrate expert critical thinking, accountability, collaboration, communication, self-discipline, self-development, conflict resolution and adaptability/flexibility skills.
  • Develop personal relationships with strategic client's key personnel.


Desired Skills and Experience:



  • Minimum BS in science or engineering
  • Preferred MS in engineering and/or MBA
  • Preferred PE registration
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in engineering and project management

Salary Range:Theanticipatedstarting payrange for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and maybemore or lessdependingupon skills, experience,and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $145,000- $199,000
