We are looking to expand our team in Denver, CO with an entry-level (0-5 years) solids and energy process engineer with experience or coursework pertaining to solids and energy to join our team. In this role you will have the opportunity to further develop your skillset among the best in our industry, lead exciting studies and designs, and work directly with utilities on advancing the wastewater industry, including advancing climate friendly solutions. Detailed Description:



  • Perform engineering work with the Solids and Energy Specialty team on biosolids and wastewater projects for municipal and private industrial clients


  • Perform analysis, calculations, research, selection, and layout for projects large and small, including conceptual planning studies, pilot or demonstration scale facilities, preliminary design documents, and detailed design plans. Work independently solving complex problems and as a member of a broader project team.
  • Serve as a project engineer and coordinate the work of engineers and technical staff on small and large projects. Interface with client staff to gather information, propose on future work, and present findings.
  • Collaborate with project managers, project oversight staff, client service managers, staffing managers and other project personnel from other disciplines.
  • Contribute to research and development initiatives to advance industry innovation
  • Provide technical sales support while collaborating with business development teams on opportunities and pursuits for wastewater planning, engineering, and implementation projects.
  • Participate directly in collaborative industry associations and research (e.g. WEF, Water Environment & Research Foundation) and present at conferences to further represent BC's brand.
  • Promote and execute companywide initiatives and values


Desired Skills and Experience:



  • B.S. degree in the areas of Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis on wastewater solids process engineering; M.S. or PhD preferred
  • Experience in municipal wastewater treatment, engineering or management- including planning, design, and client interfacing or commensurate graduate studies is a plus.
  • Coursework or research in anaerobic digestion is a plus.
  • Engineer-in-Training certification in Colorado or ability to obtain quickly through reciprocity preferred.
  • Self-driven and self-directed work performance demonstrating critical thinking and adaptability in the face of complex work assignments.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for technical and non-technical audiences


Salary:

Location B: $64,000- $87,000
