We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Mechanical Designer to join our team if you are an individual who takes pride in delivering exceptional work and is looking to expand your process mechanical design craft under the supervision of industry-leading professionals. You will work directly with senior process mechanical designers on multi-discipline designs for facilities primarily serving the water and wastewater industries.

Detailed Description:

Under the direction of design professionals, you will develop designs in BIM documents utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit software. In this capacity, you will work under the direction of a group of senior process mechanical designers. Our ideal candidate will have some experience in design coordination of multidiscipline models and be excited about the prospect of learning to develop plans and sections to communicate engineering design. Project work includes the development of P&IDs, equipment layout, design of process piping and utility systems, development of contract drawings, field investigations, and support during construction.

Responsibilities:



  • Execute work on wastewater, water utilities, and industrial facilities including treatment plant, pumping station, and bio-system facility planning and design
  • Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspection and testing
  • Assist with the preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables
  • Assist with studies, permitting, and alternative analysis
  • Duties may also include field activities such as site investigations


Desired Skills and Experience:



  • 6 -10 years of experience in municipal and/or industrial projects preferred.
  • Experience using AutoCAD.
  • Experience using REVIT preferred.
  • Knowledge of Piping and Instrumentation Drawing design, (e.g., piping, appurtenances, hangers, and instrumentation and control) and mechanical drawing design
  • Experience with Open Plant is a plus.
  • Experience with Water and Wastewater is a plus.
  • Experience in 3D modeling, BIM design, drawing production, and associated workflows is a plus.
  • Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and verbally
  • High level of communication and strong writing skills


Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending on skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A:

Salary: $31.00 - $42.60

Location B:

Salary: $34.10 - $46.90

Location C:

Salary: $37.20 - $51.10
