Engineering Intern Winter 2024-25

POSITION SUMMARY

The function of the Intern is to develop the skills/capabilities necessary to perform as a long-term, fulltime employee within the engineering organization at Marinette Marine or within the Marine Group. In fulfilling this function the individual will assist the various other Engineers and Lead Engineers with special assignments, becoming familiar with Marinette Marine engineering standards and enabling them to fulfill their internship for their school and/or resume, where this may be a requirement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) development and responding to the customer's comments. This may include technical calculation (structure, stability, inclining experiments, tank tables, etc.) or written CDRLs such as delivery plans or test procedures.
• Assist in the completion of craft testing, including start-up, dockside and sea trials as necessary.
• AutoCAD drawing support.
• Drawing development, checking or data processing.
• Other duties as determined by management.
• Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.

• Must have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills.
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
• Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
