Our collaborative approach ensures that students receive comprehensive care that addresses their individual needs and concerns.

Job Description

This position is a dual post with Job ID 52075 - Certified Medical Assistant and the department is only filling one role.

Key Responsibilities:

Compassionate Patient Care: Provide quality care to our student population by measuring and recording vital signs, administering medications and immunizations, and preparing patients for examinations and treatments. Your empathetic approach will help students feel supported and understood during their healthcare journey.

Healthcare Support: Observe patients, chart, and report changes in patients' conditions. Provide quality care to patients and work with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest patient satisfaction. Follow all safety, security, and infection control, policies, and procedures. Perform all tasks to ensure the safety of self, patient, and co-workers. Your compassionate communication skills will play a crucial role in ensuring students feel heard and cared for.

Collaborative Care: Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate treatment plans and provide holistic care to students. By collaborating with counselors at the Counseling Center, you'll help ensure that students receive comprehensive support for both their physical and mental health needs.

Department Support: Maintain the standards of nursing care and departmental criteria to assure they are aligned with the University of Missouri Health Care Mission and Goals. You will participate in meetings, in-services, and quality and performance improvement groups. You will perform patient care duties and procedures following department policy, established protocol and standard of care, or directed by Charge Nurse. Your attention to detail and commitment to student well-being will help ensure a safe and healthy travel experience.

Shift

Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

This position may require evening and weekend hours supporting activities and programs within the department. Occasionally division and campus projects may require additional hours outside of your normal schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

Missouri Board of Nursing LPN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state LPN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state LPNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.

Preferred Qualifications

IV Therapy certification.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Range: $20.25 - $27.82 per hour paid on a bi-weekly basis

Grade: PAT LPN

University Title: LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE
