Clinical Dietitian - Bariatric - Days

Position Highlights:

• Position: Clinical Dietitian
• Location: Naperville
• Part time 20 Hours Per Pay Period
• Hours: Monday to Friday 8-5 - Flexible within the week
• Travel: Required to Naperville and Plainfield Offices

What you will need:

• Master degree in Nutrition/Dietetics
• Registered Licensed Dietitian in state of Illinois.
• Two years working with bariatric/non-surgical weight management patients as a registered dietitian
• Strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Computer proficiency (MS Windows, MS Office, Internet applications)
• Have a deep understanding of the pre- and post-surgical clinical pathways related to bariatric surgery, be familiar at recognizing and treating post-surgical complications, understand the physiology of nutrition for all types of bariatric surgeries, and be comfortable dealing with the mental health issues and motivations of bariatric patients.
• Have a track record of being an effective team player.

License/Certification Preferred:

• Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management- American Dietetic Association.
• Certified fitness specialist

General Summary:

The Registered Bariatric Dietitian works closely with the interdisciplinary health care teams to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy that are integrated and compatible with the patient's medical program goals and objectives. Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines; managing resources in an effective manner and participating in performance improvement effort
