Position: Mental Health Technician

Unit: Behavioral Health - Adult Acute Unit

Location: Arlington Heights IL

Hours: 7pm-730 / Every other Weekend

Shift: Night Shift

Part time/Full Time: Part Time 24 hours per week

What You will need:

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field preferred

• Psychiatric unit work experience and demonstrated clinical proficiency preferred. Nurse Aide, orderly, or school clinical practicum experience in a medical or psychiatric setting is preferred.

• Current CPR from American Heart Association.

• CPI certification within 90 days of hire or transfer.

General Summary:

Reporting to the Manager or designee, serves as a member of the treatment team and cooperates with the other staff for delivery of comprehensive patient care services. Practices beginning level therapeutic skills with patients and performs all duties of the Mental Health Technician. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age(s) of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
