Position Summary:



MTA is seeking outstanding candidates to join our team at MTA/YUHSB as a Judaic Studies Instructor/Director of Student Activities.



Position Responsibilities:




  • The Director of Student Activities will serve as an integrated member of our faculty, serving in a Judaic Studies teaching capacity as a Halacha/Machshava rebbe and permanent substitute.
  • The Director of Student Activities is responsible for cultivating an environment of fun and excitement at MTA and will work with our students to create positive energy, ruach, student leadership, and camaraderie.


Organize and run Shabbatonim and grade trips, including:



  • Yeshiva Wide Shabbaton, 5 Community Shabbatonim
  • Sophomore Trip, Junior Trip, Senior Trip
  • Grade Nights Out
  • Communicate to parents and students about these trips, as well as create promotional material and hype for them.


Holiday based programming:



  • Simchas Beis Hashoeva
  • Purim
  • Yom Hazikaron/Haatzmaut
  • Yom Yerushalayim
  • Lag Ba'omer
  • Shavuos


Create positive energy in school:



  • Opening day festivities
  • Opening Night Sports Celebration
  • Giveaways


Cultivate relationships with students:



  • Create foot traffic in the student lounge and student activities office
  • Cultivate leadership opportunities for our students
  • Student Council
  • Organize and run color war
  • Organize and oversee Academic Teams and Clubs
  • Organize and run a Club Fair at the beginning of the year
  • Communicate with students and parents about club opportunities
  • Organize the calendar of club and academic team meetings and events
  • Create a calendar of events over the summer for the upcoming academic year, as well as oversee the school-wide calendar throughout the year.



Experience & Educational Background:




  • Some experience is preferred.
  • Rabbinical training or in progress.

  • We are seeking a creative individual who can think outside the box, as well as someone with excellent social intelligence and communication skills, who can work well with others, and who is responsible and organized.
  • Candidates should demonstrate charisma and warmth, be able to relate to a wide range of stakeholders and community members, and should have the skills necessary to effectively network with local institutions.
  • Candidates should be passionate about education, specifically informal education and its capacity to inspire young people.
  • Candidates should love working with young adults and be committed to providing them with opportunities to lead.
  • This role reports to the Principal but works closely with all members of the Leadership Team, as well as Grade Deans, in carrying out programs



Salary Range:



$60,000 - $70,000
