ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Serve as main customer contact for pass through product responsible for APQP / PPAP, quality issue resolution / reporting, and warranty analysis / reporting.
  • Oversee the maintenance, updates, and communication of customer specific requirements to the organization.
  • Coordinator for site internal 8D / A3 problem-solving activities to include proper tracking, completion, review and reporting to management.
  • USMRP1 GA site Scrap Coordinator and recorder responsible for new weekly corporate dashboard. Work with each building Head on daily scrap reduction. (Work with Quality Director on developing new site / customer PPM tracking)
  • Collaborate with management / cross functional teams to problem-solve, develop, improve, report out, and maintain site quality systems, including electronic quality software systems.
  • Support 3rd party certification audits and customer Quality System audits (LPA, IATF16949, etc...) to meet required certifications, as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to designated quality systems (ie. LPA, document control, etc...), as needed.
  • Support Quality Systems goals, activities, and initiatives, as needed.
  • Develop and implement measures to ensure achievement of overall company goals.
  • Travel to support the facility, as needed.
  • Any additional duties to be assigned, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of three (3) years' experience.
  • Strong background with Quality Management Systems, specifically IATF 16949. Must have a solid understanding of continuous improvement methods, problem-solving techniques, audit principles, and change management processes.
  • Understanding of industry core tools (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, SPC, MSA)
  • Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, CMM, Vision Systems, and other measuring equipment. (Preferably experience in automotive manufacturing environment)
  • Quality Systems auditing experience and auditor certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated leadership ability and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization and with diverse international backgrounds.
  • Strong project management skills; excellent organizational skills and flexibility for multi-task situations; good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate team members to accomplish goals and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Must be proficient in Minitab, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint. Must be proficient in MS Excel with experience in charting and data analysis.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the direction and supervision of employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Required to sit for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Usual office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment and steel toe shoes. Each facility is climate controlled working environment.
