RRD's 140,000 sq. ft Genesis plant provides specialty corrugated packaging and displays. Founded in 1999 and acquired by RR Donnelley in 2011 it is located southwest of Chicago in Lemont Illinois. Genesis is a sheet-fed plant with some of the finest print capabilities in the corrugated industry. The Genesis plant specializes in on-site creative and structural design, flexo pre-print, direct print, litho label mounting and die-cutting. The plant serves customers with marketing kits, promotional packaging, retail packaging and POS/POP displays

Responsibilities:

• Inspect production equipment, buildings and systems to identify any issues.
• Repair faulty machinery, production equipment and damaged structures.
• Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting on machinery and production equipment.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate the purchase and installation of parts.
• Manage contractors and supervise their services

Requirements:

• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and other drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to repair and maintain machinery and production equipment, according to operating manuals, diagrams and manufacturer's specifications.
• Knowledge of fabrication.
• Knowledge of printing industry machinery such as web presses, die cutters, rotary presses, folder & gluers is desirable.
• Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
• High School diploma, General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent training & experience.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs at times

Thepay range for this role at the noted location is $23.60 - $34.00 / hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
