Rutgers Business School is seeking senior faculty applicants for the CRRI Chair in the Department of Finance and Economics in the Rutgers Business School - Newark and New Brunswick at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. The successful applicant must have an outstanding publication record in economics and/or finance journals and must regularly write on topics in which the regulatory environment is of central importance in several such areas as corporate governance, consumer finance, retail and investment banking, digital economy, crypto currency, fintech, microstructure of financial markets, risk-management, taxes, electricity, gas, water, and/or telecommunications. The successful applicant will be encouraged to actively participate in the activities of the Center for Research in Regulated Industries, the Department of Finance and Economics and Rutgers Business School. The Finance and Economics Department has 40 full-time faculty members. The Rutgers Business School offers BS, MBA, Masters of Quantitative Finance, and Ph.D. programs that include finance and applied economics concentrations. Minimum Education and Experience |

About The Center for Research in Regulated Industries (CRRI) The Center was founded in 1977 at Rutgers University. It aims to further the study of regulation by researchers in economics and finance, in academic and non-academic institutions. The objective of the center is to promote research, scholarship and education on topics in which the regulatory environment is of central importance. Research and scholarship is promoted through conferences, seminars, workshops, courses, publications and research projects. The center has been funded by registration fees, publication fees, sponsorship and research grants. Example of the types of research within the scope of the center includeinclude the impact of regulatory environment upon the digital economy, crypto currency, fintech, corporate governance, consumer finance, retail and investment banking, microstructure of financial markets, risk-management, electricity, gas, water, telecommunications. The center has been responsible for the publication of numerous books and the Journal of Regulatory Economics, and has organized over 250 workshops, seminars, and conferences in the North America, Europe, and Asia. |

The Finance and Economics Department offers courses in both the Newark and New Brunswick campuses. Hence, a successful candidate could be required to teach on both campuses. However, the successful candidate's primary office is on the Newark campus. |
