The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position inCritical Care. The faculty member will hold a clinical appointment at Capital Health Regional Medical Center located in Trenton, New Jersey.

A four-time Magnet-designated health system for nursing excellence, Capital Health serves as a Level II regional trauma center,comprehensive stroke center, regional perinatal center (including a Level III NICU), and emergency mental health-screening center. Capital Health takes great pride in our innovative programs such as our Capital Institute for Neurosciences; nationally accredited Center for Comprehensive Breast Care;Center for Digestive Health; Marjorie G. Ernest Joint Replacement Center of Excellence; award-winning Cancer Center; and our Heart & Vascular Institute,which includes the region's first accredited Chest Pain Center.
The Critical Care Faculty member will serve as one of two EMSOP clinical specialists at Capital Health. Additionally, the hospital-based clinical pharmacy team is comprised of a Clinical Coordinator and six clinicians in the areas of Critical Care, Infectious Disease, Emergency Medicine as well as two PGY1 pharmacy residents. Pharmacy services are provided throughout both institutions via centralized and decentralized operations utilizing an integrated EMR and automation.

Minimum Education and Experience
Applicants must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, and have completed at least two years of residency training or equivalent experience. Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Jersey.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The Critical Care Faculty member will focus his/her practice as a member of the multidisciplinary team serving the Capital Institute of Neurosciences. The Faculty member will have an active role on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee and be involved in the education of medical, nursing and pharmacy staff (including pharmacy residents), protocol/guideline/policy development, and participating Code Blue response.
