Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Administrative Coordinator for NJMS- Medicine - Medicine Cardiology. This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned Division(s) within the Department of Medicine. The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Division Director, Program Administrator, and faculty.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Acts as point of reference for faculty recruitment, which includes collecting applications, scheduling interviews, preparing itineraries, and maintain confidential files.
  • Provides administrative support to the Division Director, Program Administrator, and Faculty.
  • As applicable, acts as a point of reference for staff Human Resource related matters, which may include staff recruitment efforts, as needed.
  • Responsible for personnel matters for the department/division; maintains time and attendance records, ensures timely completion of forms for Human Resources, Payroll, etc.
  • Acts as principal liaison with various administrative departments and units of the University.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree plus four (4) years of administrative experience in a government agency, university setting or large business office with responsibility for office management, preparation of reports, supervision of staff, etc.
  • Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
