The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in Ambulatory Care. The faculty member will hold a clinical appointment at Hunterdon Medical Center.
The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy is recognized on all levels, local, state,national, and international, as providing one of the most challenging,dynamic, and satisfying programs of study leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy degree. In concert with supportive faculty and staff, students at the School build a foundation for learning that continues long after graduation. The mission of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration is to guide and develop the next generation of pharmacists in the practice of patient-centered, population-based pharmaceutical care in a multitude of settings. The Department is committed to the ethical and professional growth of pharmacy students and strives to graduate lifelong learners with the skills to lead and adapt in a dynamic healthcare system.This mission supports the overall mission of the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy in four critical areas: teaching, practice, scholarship, and service.
Hunterdon Medical Center is a teaching hospital affiliated with Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. It is the only regional hospital in Hunterdon County and is in a park-like setting in western New Jersey. There are 27 health centers that are part of the
HMC system.
HMC has the largest well-child care center program in the state. Hospitals include; Dialysis, Oncology, Cardiology and Pediatrics. The pharmacy department consists of pharmacists, technicians and one clinical faculty in Internal Medicine. The Faculty member would be expected to provide pharmacy and medical staff educations/development. The faculty would be involved in HMC's pharmacy residency program and work with the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy to include the resident in teaching opportunities. The Faculty would be involved with HMC's hosptial committees. |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
Applicants must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, and have completed at least two years of residency training or equivalent experience. Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Jersey. |

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
This position is for a Clinical Assistant Professor with a specialty in Ambulatory Care. The Faculty member will collaborate with the Hunterdon clinical pharmacists and medical staff to optimize the provision of information to healthcare providers and patients within the Center.The Faculty member would have an active role in the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and would be expected to provide education and development to medical personnel. |
