The ACCTG 211 course serves as an introduction to Financial and Managerial Accounting and is required of all students intending a major in the Smeal College as well as many other majors/minors at the University.

ACCTG 211 TAs are responsible for teaching the Friday "lab sessions", an important classroom component of the course (this includes organizing, preparing, and delivering the course material for 50 minutes, one time each week). A willingness/desire to teach in the classroom is important, as well as an ability to clearly explain the accounting concepts/topics.

In addition to teaching: TAs conduct office hours each week; assist with the development of supporting course materials and resources; and serve as active integrity monitors during examinations.

This position's hours will be up to 10 hours/week, for each week of the semester. Applicants should electronically submit a cover letter and resume that includes: your PSU email address, anticipated semester of graduation, semester you took ACCTG 211 (and grade earned), and availability/interest in the TA position.
