The Behavioral Health Nursing Director - Waltham will be responsible for:
  • Providing 24 hour supervision of patient care operations for our Waltham behavioral health programs - this includes our 12 bed Inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit and our 12 bed Community-Based Acute Treatment (CBAT) Unit.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing daily clinical services and administrative operations.
  • Ensuring continuous compliance with all regulatory bodies, including The Joint Commission, CMS, the Department of Mental Health (DMH), and Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).
  • Developing and ensuring compliance with nursing policies and procedures, standards of patient care and nursing practice.
  • Developing, recommending and implementing internal standards, policies and procedures to improve quality and cost-effectiveness of patient care.
  • Playing an integral role in developing and implementing strategies which create the cultural change necessary to fully realize our vision of participation in Behavioral Health and the continuum of care.
  • Leading and participating in hospital, departmental and multidisciplinary programs, committees and special projects.
  • Leading individuals and work groups to continuously improve performance by creating an environment that ensures application of quality principles and techniques to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Requesting and allocating resources and facilitating coordination of care/services to meet patient care and operations requirements.
  • Selecting, supervising and evaluating nursing and clinical support staff.
  • Developing and providing staff education/development programs.
  • Creating an environment, which fosters excellence, sensitivity and leadership.
  • Providing leadership for the development of and/or participation in studies, research, publications and public presentations.

To qualify, you must have:

  • Licensed in MA as a registered nurse.
  • 10+ years of RN experience with at least 5 years of progressive management/leadership experience.
  • Behavioral Health experience required, pediatric experience preferred.
  • MSN required, Doctoral degree in nursing or a closely related field preferred.
