Halff has an opening for a Senior Roadway Engineer, with a Texas PE License, to be a Senior Project Manager to join our growing Roadway / Transportation team based out of our McAllen, TX office. The ideal candidate would have at least 15 years of experience in roadway / transportation project development with emphasis in delivery of TxDOT projects. Halff's Transportation services safely move people, vehicles and freight using multimodal applications ranging from roadways (local roads to interstate highways), transit and active transportation projects from initial planning through final design. The complete project development process includes responsive planning and design such as geometrics and storm drainage. It incorporates technology and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to relay roadway information and communication. Finally, it brings transit planning and design to the forefront.

Senior Roadway Engineer (PE) Senior Project Manager - TxDOT Transportation Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Transportation Team Leader in the development and delivery of TxDOT roadway / transportation projects
- Performs complex transportation engineering tasks and leads other professional staff in the development of transportation projects
- Develops and manages project scope, personnel, budgets, schedules and collaborates with clients and stakeholders
- Manages multiple transportation tasks or projects in support of business needs
- Manages other consultant teams and the workload of design staff including Engineers, EIT's, and technical staff that contribute to the growth and safety of Texas roadways
- Reviews transportation deliverables for accuracy and consistency
- Reports on project progress and budgets
- Works with the Transportation Team Leader and Operations Managers in business development activities
Senior Roadway Engineer (PE) Senior Project Manager - TxDOT Transportation Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Texas or are able and willing to obtain Texas PE License within six months of starting date
- At least 15 years of experience in TxDOT roadway / transportation project delivery
- MicroStation CADD and Geopak experience, OpenRoads experience desirable
- Ability to lead a project, technical staff, and manage project schedules and budgets
- Experience managing roadway design projects and plan production
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and decision-making skills
- Commitment to quality
- Positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player and a person of high character with a focus on quality, integrity and success
- TxDOT experience (as a TxDOT employee or consultant) is desirable
- Primavera (P6) Experience is desirable
