Summary: Loan Servicing Manager manages the loan servicing associates and vendors to deliver efficient collections, escrow, and insurance operations. Establishes processes and procedures to maintain accuracy and completeness of required documentation. Sets operating performance metrics and standards for speed, quality, and customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Safeguarding of Bank Assets (mortgage & consumer loans):
  • Supervises loan service staff including but not limited to training, performance monitoring and yearly reviews
  • Oversees the Bank's vendor relationships (Collections, Insurance, Real Estate Taxes) for compliance to Bank policy, State and Federal regulations
  • Directs operations of escrowed payments
  • Responsible for the Bank's Escrow Program (Real Estate Taxes, Liens & Insurance) to ensure the retention of the value of bank assets
  • Decisioning of hardship modifications and/ or payment arrangements
  • Handles attorney relationships and foreclosure auction related tasks
  • Providing strong customer service program:
  • When applicable, work directly with customers to identify an appropriate payment plan, set up the plan and document the new payment schedule
  • Research and problem resolution of loan related issues,
  • Ensuring Regulatory Compliance
  • Responsible for accuracy of documentation to maintain a current system of record
  • Working with the direct supervisor to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Completes all yearly compliance training and testing and complies with bank, federal, and state regulations. Complies with Bank Policies and Procedures. Adheres to departmental and bank-wide service standards.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills needed:

  • Language

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Math

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define broad problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Computer Skills:

High level ability with Word and Excel.

Other knowledge and skills:

Mortgage and Consumer Loan experience. Working knowledge of all banking products. Tax experience. Residential Collections experience.
