Salary: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour (DOE)
Travel: 75% across Alaska

We're looking for a Journey-Level Generator Field Technician to join our team and help us make a tangible impact. What You'll Do

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on diesel and gaseous generator sets and ancillary equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including AC/DC controls, automatic voltage regulators, battery chargers, and more.
• Conduct load bank testing, system adjustments, and preventive maintenance.
• Complete engine rebuilds and system upgrades to optimize generator performance.
• Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work meets factory and company standards.

What You Bring

• 5+ years' experience in power generation field service.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC systems, transfer switches, switchgear, and engine controls.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, troubleshoot components, and utilize diagnostic software.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills-you'll be working with site managers, contractors, and electricians.
• Self-motivated problem solver who can work independently and under high-pressure conditions.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver's license and insurability under company policy.
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time (by car and air), including extended remote assignments.
• Must provide and maintain your own tool inventory.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (100 lbs. with assistance).
