Opportunity at a Glance The Senior Manager, Consumer Insights will plan and execute market research projects and act as a strategic business partner to those within the Adtalem Global Education institutions. This position brings the voice of the prospect to the organization in order to assist in building marketing initiatives that create positive brand perceptions, boost consideration of our brands, and drive enrollment in our institutions. Critical skills required for this position include: Analytical Thinking, Creativity, Problem Solving, Project Management, Prioritization, Teamwork, and Communication. This position reports to the Senior Director, Consumer Insights.
Responsibilities:

- Provides guidance to internal and external business partners across the enterprise based on research findings and a solid understanding of the consumer and the business. Serves as a consumer advocate within the organization, ensuring consumer perspectives are considered in decision-making processes. Topics include but are not limited to: brand health & equity, positioning, consumer decision journeys, advertising and messaging/communications.
- Acts as primary Consumer Insights contact for institution(s), developing and executing research plans and projects.
- Translates business questions into research objectives and identifies the best research methodology and vendor to address the issue at hand.
- Manages research vendors, directs analysis of research findings, and presents findings to audiences spanning junior to executive level.
- Manages multiple projects and priorities independently. Ensures research projects are delivered on time, with accuracy, and within budget.
- With manager guidance, leads highly complex and advanced analytical studies including consumer and market segmentation, conjoint/discrete choice, MaxDiff, cluster/factor analyses, driver analyses, and regression models.
- Synthesizes findings from multiple research studies to develop actionable recommendations which are aligned with company mission and objectives.
- Integrates research results into annual business and marketing planning processes. Provides input to team responsible for predictive quantitative modeling as needed in areas such as enrollment projections and media channel effectiveness.
- Stays on top of industry trends, new research methodologies, and emerging technologies. Drives innovation in research techniques and tools to enhance the timeliness, quality and impact of insights.
- Manages freelance/contract resources and/or junior level direct report(s) as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications

- Bachelor- or Master-level degree in Business, Marketing,or a related discipline such as Psychology, Sociology, or Economics.
- 10 years in consumer marketing research or related areas, with direct experience in the design and analysis of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research projects. Client-side Consumer Insights experience required. Supplier-side experience is a bonus.
- Proven experience in designing and executing research studies that positively impact the business with full ownership of research projects from start to finish.
- Adept at study design, questionnaire development, sample design, tab planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods and best practices. Knowledge of industry conventions in data collection and tabulation including sampling, crosstab analysis, skip patterns, etc.. Working knowledge of applied statistical methods.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, including presentations and an ability to effectively communicate controversial findings. Strong business acumen and influencing skills, with capacity to advocate a point of view while maintaining flexibility and respect for differing opinions.
- Ability to think strategically while understanding tactical implications.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Higher education research experience preferred but not required.
- Qualtrics and/or other DIY consumer insights program package proficiency desired but not required.
Additional Information
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $80,336 and $140,851. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
