Description Job Summary: UNC Health Communications and Marketing department is looking for a Communications Specialist I to join our team focused on cancer care and research at UNC Health and UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Reporting to the director of cancer center marketing and communications, this person will support the cancer team and is responsible for assisting with content on websites, assisting with social media content and email communications, and creating content for other projects on an as-needed basis. This person will help execute digital content and marketing strategies to support external and internal communications and marketing goals. The Communications Specialist I partners with internal staff and faculty to ensure that digital content can reach the intended audience, provide a consistent user experience, and convey information in a clear and accessible manner. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations, Marketing or related field. Professional Experience Requirements: One (1) year of experience in communications, public relations, marketing or related field.
