Application Window Open date: August 5, 2024 Most recent review date: Saturday, Aug 31, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Jun 30, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The laboratory of Dr. Tanya Stoyanova in the Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, is seeking applicants for a full-time postdoctoral position. In this role, the candidate will be a critical member of a team of scientists dedicated to developing new early cancer detection approaches and therapeutic strategies for late-stage cancers. We are seeking applicants to support three on-going projects (1) Understanding mechanism that regulate cancer progression, (2) Develop new therapeutic strategies for metastatic cancer and (3) Develop new for tumor imaging and surgical guidance for precise excisions of metastatic lesions. The candidates should have a PhD, MD or PhD-MD degree with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: cancer biology, animal models, biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, therapeutics and imaging. Prior experience in working with animal models and surgical procedures is highly desired. The postdoctoral scholar is expected to have critical thinking abilities, excellent technical skills, and excellent organizational, writing and communication skills.
