The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for providing analysis, monitoring operational performance, identifying and recommending areas for development or enhancement, and developing action plans to drive processes for the Greater Texas Region.

The Senior Business Analyst helps the Greater Texas Regional team operate successfully within our healthcare delivery model by providing strategic planning and tools to meet goals. This position is expected to build and sustain solid working relationships with cross functional departments and relevant stakeholders. This position is also responsible for ensuring daily efforts align with the goals of the department and the company.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Complete thorough business analyses, which includes examining business processes and workflows for optimization and / or performing statistical and/or data analyses
  • Transforms data into meaningful, professional, and easy to understand formats for leadership review
  • Develops recommendations and reviews findings with peers and leaders
  • Conduct detailed analysis of various reports by tracking and trending data to develop a strategic plan to ensure performance goals and network development plans are achieved
  • Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to develop, execute and monitor project plans, performance and patient outcomes improvement plans
  • Utilize stakeholder (e.g., senior leadership; end user) feedback and/or process performance information to identify potential continuous improvement opportunities
  • Produce, publish and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc provider and operational reports
  • Provides information and participate in management meetings as requested
  • Regularly meets with physician business managers to create, revise and adjust strategy for assigned providers to meet overall performance goals
  • Provide input into and/or develop relevant policies, procedures, and/or work tools to support new or updated business processes
  • Develop business context diagrams (e.g., business data flows, process flows) to analyze/confirm the definition of project requirements
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise standards for gathering and documenting project requirements
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of decision support and data analysis experience
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft BI and Tableau
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel (ability to conduct pivot tables, v-lookups, power query, macros and VBA)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
  • Proficient in SQL and SQL Reporting Services
  • Proven solid analytical/statistical skills used in evaluating and analyzing data
  • Proven excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to interact one-on-one and consult with all levels of leadership


Preferred Qualifications:



  • PMP, CAPM or other project management certification
  • Healthcare experience
  • Basic understanding of concepts and practices of Lean and Six Sigma
