Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD

Days-8:30am-5:00pm

Position Summary:

• Works in the Cytopathology Laboratory and prepares fixed and fresh specimens for microscopical examination.
• Uniquely and positively identifies specimens and patients; uses automated equipment for liquid-based processing; stains, coverslips, tracks specimens between labs; assists pathologists with patients during the procurement and preparation of needle aspiration specimens; performs QC functions to detect errors; uses safe infection control procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent with course work in biology, chemistry and math.

Work Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory environment.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.05 per hour - Maximum 28.15 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
