Requirements


Responsibilities
The student is responsible for administrative and marketing support of math programs, as well as day-to-day operations that can support educational activities in the programs. (Professionalism)
Job Duties:

  • Perform data analysis as requested by the math faculty. (Critical Thinking and Technology)
  • Create marketing materials to promote math programs (e.g. posters, flyers, campus magazine, sample letters). (Technology, Communication)
  • Support retention efforts by contacting stop-outs, returning students, non-registered students to improvement enrollment. (Communication)
  • Assist faculty in the development of activities for group classroom implementation, including the use of Desmos or other software, as needed. (Critical Thinking and Technology)
  • Participate as a co-organizer and co-lead for events for the math department (Leadership and Teamwork)
  • Work with faculty on individual projects as needed. (Professionalism and Teamwork)
  • Meet weekly with an individual faculty member. (Professionalism and Teamwork)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
The student must be enrolled in a math major or minor program (unless approved by the department chair).

The student should:

  • have completed Calculus I or higher.
  • have a GPA of 3.0 or higher for relevant coursework.
  • be an independent worker.


Preference given if the student has some experience with statistical software ( SPSS, Python, or other).
Pay Rate Hourly 15
