TELECARE CORPORATION REHABILITATION COUNSELOR - LA CASA MHRC Telecare's mission is to deliver excellent and effective behavioral health services that engage individuals with complex needs in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. As part of the Telecare family, La Casa Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) is a 192-bed program providing assistance to adults 18 and older. Shifts Available: On Call; Shift Hours and Days vary as needed Expected starting wage is $21.47. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE We exist to help people with mental impairments realize their full potential. MISSION STATEMENT Telecare will deliver and manage excellent services and systems of care for persons with serious mental illness. POSITION OBJECTIVE With the support of the Rehabilitation Therapist Supervisor, the Rehabilitation Counselor provides rehabilitation therapy services to clients, both on an individual and group basis, and serves as a member of the multi-disciplinary Recovery Team. QUALIFICATIONS A B.A. degree in psychology or related field is required. Six (6) months of related practical experience in group facilitation, education and/or event planning with people diagnosed with serious mental illness is preferred. The ability to read, write & speak English is crucial. Experience may be substituted for education. A valid California Drivers License and a driving record that ensures insurability to drive company vehicles are also required. An understanding of psychiatric illness and Recovery principles is essential. Applicant must receive clearance from the Department of Justice. Experience may be substituted for education.
